Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Medvedev secured his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a former world number one, has experienced a torrid year, managing just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in specific - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Presently working with Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is his first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since that period of that year.
The win also means he has achieved 21 championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a competition with my two daughters together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, comprising in Halle in the past months.
His retrieving strategy and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to wonder if his skill to perform at the top level was over.
But the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete positively, reinforced by an improved service.
The champion recovered from a break down in the first set against the difficult opponent, taking 4 of the final five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded service breaks in the second set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured the win with a shot at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
