Intensive Russian Attacks Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and faced interruptions to drinking water, per reports from local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the city came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the national power system, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were bracing for more assaults.
